Victoria’s Secret Angel Fragrance Mist

I have wanted a Victoria’s Secret fragrance for a while, as I have heard such good reviews about them all. I very luckily received the Victoria’s Secret Angel Fragrance Mist for Christmas and despite it being a while since Christmas, I decided to review it! The Victoria’s Secret website defines its smell as ‘fruity and floral’ which I 100% agree with. Also, I have had the fragrance for 3 months now and have been religiously wearing it every day and the bottle still looks full! The packaging is gorgeous for the price – the bottle fades from a transparent top into a tinted hot pink colour at the bottom. It also has, quite fittingly, two angel wings embedded on the front of the bottle which is a nice touch. Overall, I think it is great value for money and love the way it is described as the ‘essence of an icon’.

L's Pick #4 - Hooded Spring Coat

Spring Coat

Spring Coat by lamey

Hooded Spring Coat - YesStyle, £24.04

I am currently dreaming of Spring, Summer, warm weather and the end of exams, but as that is a while away, I have been keeping myself positive by preparing with a little bit of online browsing. I stumbled upon this adorable coat on an online shopping website called YesStyle, which I would 100% recommend that you go look on, as it sells clothes as well as Asian make-up, which can be hard to find in the UK!

The coat I have currently is black and is all fuzzy on the inside, which is perfect for Autumn and Winter, but I really needed something lighter for the milder months that are approaching. I also want something that is a lighter colour, as I think this really gives it a more spring-like feel. As I live in the UK, even in spring you have to wear a coat for the majority of the time, as it's still quite cold!

I also love that this coat is lined with lace, as you would be able to see it in the hood which would instantly make your outfit seem a lot more thought out and detailed! I just think that this is a really pretty coat, and would be great to throw on if your outfit is really simple. It's in a trench coat style and can be tightened at the waist, which means that it would be much more flattering, and will create a feminine shape.

I think that if I do buy this coat, I will get the pale blue colour as it would go with the majority of my wardrobe, and blue also suits my skin tone and hair colour.

I can't wait for it to be Spring, and the weather does seem to be finally warming up a bit! I just wish it would be the summer holidays sooner!

Get The Look - Cher from Clueless

Clueless - Cher

Clueless - Cher by lamey

 Shirt ~ H&M, £14.99
 Crop Top ~ Mango, £29.99
Plaid Skirt ~ Topshop, £42
Knee High Socks ~ BooHoo, £4
Backpack ~ Pull and Bear, £29.99
Heels ~ Sole Society, £42

'Clueless' is a film that was made in 1995, which I would highly recommend watching, which is based around a girl named Cher. I love the fashion in this film, although Cher's style is not typical of that time. In 1995, many people dressed in a grunge style, but the producers of the film wanted to emulate a classy, girly yet powerful feel through the 'school-girl' like clothing.

Cher's style is quite preppy, which lots of plaid skirts teamed with blouses and blazers. She also wears a lot of knee high socks, in either black or white, which are back in style right now. I love how you can look back at old trends and see them come back into fashion many years later; it's almost like a cycle. I love Cher's style and how it's preppy, but still cute with the short skirts and heels.

For the particular outfit I chose to recreate, she pairs a red and black plaid skirt with a white shirt with a tight red crop top over the top. She leaves the skirt un-tucked, but they crop top helps to redefine her figure. The outfit is topped off with black knee high socks, a black back pack and a red hair band. The whole look feels very together, but at the same time effortless, which is why I love it!

You could either fully re-create this look for a costume or if you just really love the style, or you could take elements from Cher's style and work it into your own. For example, backpacks, plaid skirts and knee highs are all on trend at the moment, so why not add one of them into your wardrobe? I really want to get some knee high socks for the transition between winter and spring, as they will add some warmth to my legs, but will feel more spring-like than wearing tights!

Have you seen Clueless? What's your favorite 90's film?

Review: Aussie Anti-Frizz & Conditioning Milk

I recently decided to try out a few new products on my hair, as I felt like it was time to try something new! I've always had quite static, slightly fizzy, thick hair, but because of the cold weather I've been noticing that it had been getting slightly dryer towards the ends. The reason why this was a problem was not just that having dry ends doesn't look the best, but because I'm trying to grow my hair, and knew that if i went to the hairdressers with super dry ends, they would just cut it all off!

As a result of this, I decided to try the Aussie Dual Personality Styling Anti-Frizz & Conditioning Milk, as it included both conditioning and anti-fizz properties, both of which are issues that I have with my hair. It comes in a bottle with a pump, which is useful as it means that no too much comes out. You can apply this to your hair when it's wet or dry, and I have been doing both! I think that this is really useful, as I often forget to put products on my hair when it's wet, and only remember once I've dried it.

I think that this works better at de-frizzing on dry hair, as it helps to cal down fly-aways, and just smooth the ends of my hair out in general. It says to use half a pump, but I find myself using a whole pump, as otherwise nothing much happens. This being said, a whole pump is still a very small amount. It doesn't weigh your hair down and you can't really even feel anything in your hair once it has fully dried/been smoothed into your hair. I like this, as I hate being able to feel product in your hair, as I just think it feels really sticky and horrible.

I have tried better leave-in conditioners than this, but my ends are so much softer now, and it really adds a healthy shine to them as well, so I still love it. I think that it has helped to add some moisture back into my hair, just not as much as others have, and if you washed your hair with a really nourishing conditioner before hand, this would be the perfect final step! It also smells really nice, as do all Aussie products, and I like how practical the packaging is, including that its lid stays on, meaning that it won't leak in your bag, which is always a bonus!

Overall, I would give this 'conditioning milk' 4/5, as I love how shiny and smooth it leaves my hair, but just wish that it was slightly more moisturising and conditioning. At only £4.99, I think it's well worth trying! It's also really great at detangling, so if you always seem to wake up with knotty hair, I would recommend this for that, too!

Have you tried any Aussie products? What did you think of them?

L's Pick #3 - Naked 3 palette

Naked 3 palette

Naked 3 palette by lamey on Polyvore

Naked 3 Palette - Urban Decay, £37

This palette is the most recent addition to the naked palette family, but it stands out from the previous two with its pink and rose toned colours. I thought that the previous two palettes were very similar, as both had mainly gold-toned shades, so I was excited when I saw that this one is different. I also find that pink tones suit me more, which was what made me really happy about this palette.

I love the range of colours, as it means that you could create a wide variety of looks, all from one palette, making it perfect for traveling. I mainly wear lighter eyeshadow looks, with a medium toned colour in the crease and a dark colour along the lash line, so the colours would be perfect for me.

I also think that it's great that there are a mixture of shimmery and matte colours, as again it allows you to create a wide variety of looks. I also don't have many good quality matte eyeshadows, so think that this palette would be a good investment. As I said before, pink tones suit me more, as I have a pink undertone in my skin, and as only one of the colours is very dark (the black), they also wouldn't be too harsh as I am very pale.

Overall, I love this palette, and the only downfall is it's price! However, I may ask for it for my birthday in April. I haven't tried any of the other Naked palettes, so if you had I would love to hear your opinions of them in the comments!

Now spring has arrived, it has left me with the urge to have a massive spring/summer clothing
haul.I love this outfit's nude/light pink theme and slightly preppy feel.

One item of clothing I have been obsessing over is a wrap skirt. The one shown is from Topshop, however Zara stocks some really lovely ones. The nude shoes not only look pretty but will seem to extend your legs! Hoorah! I am in love with the Michael Kors bag however I'm sure that I will never
be able to afford it *Sighs*. Did I mention this was a high-budget outfit?
