Lola's look is very effortless and she wears a lot of grunge pieces throughout the film such as rock tees and ripped skinny jeans! I've decided on 6 key things you need to recreate Lola's look.
1. A checked shirt. Lola is seen sporting this in a few scenes and it really adds to her grunge look.
2. A leather jacket. This is one of the most important things to get if you want a rock look - it toughens any outfit and can even make a floral dress look grunge.
3. A loose knit jumper. In the film, Lola is often found stealing her mums sweaters and it's a key piece in her look. They're often in dark colours such as black and grey and some have a few holes in. Little details like this add to her look. She usually layers this with a tank top underneath the jumper.
4. Distressed denim. Whether it's ripped skinny jeans or frayed shorts she almost always wears distressed denim! Her friend Janice also was wearing some ripped black skinny jeans in Paris which looked amazing.
5. Grunge shoes. On the picture I put Doc Martens, because I felt that they suited Lola's style. She wore black boots around Paris too. Converse would be another great shoe for Lola's look.
6. Rock tees. In one scene she was seen wearing a 'Ramones' t-shirt.

How to get great looking skin!
SKINCARE:
- Cleanse your skin every morning and night.
- Make sure that you have removed all face and eye make-up before you go to bed, or it will clog up your pores and cause spots/blackheads.
- Exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and to keep your skin smooth - this make your make-up sit better on the skin.
- Moisturize, even if you have oily skin! If you don't your skin will produce more natural oils as it will feel dehydrated, making your skin even oilier!
MAKEUP:
- Make sure that your foundation concealer/powder match your skin colour! Also make sure that your foundation is well blended.
- Don't keep applying more layers of foundation to cover spots up, as it will just end up looking cakey and fake
- Use a primer if you have an oily skin type, to keep your foundation and concealer in place all day and to stop it from looking patchy.
- Use a powder to set your make-up to keep shine at bay. If your skin is particularly oily, take your powder with you so you can touch it up throughout the day.
- Try and switch to a lighter coverage foundation/tinted moisturizer , as this will let your skin breath more and improve.
- If you have dry skin, use a cream highlighter to add a dewy and healthy glow to the face
- Use bronzer and blush to add colour to the face - this is great if you have very pale skin, but make sure that your bronzer isn't too orange!
- If you're not going anywhere one day, don't wear any makeup and let your skin breath!

5 Key Things That Make You Look Slimmer!
Sometimes, we really can’t be bothered to go for a run or go
to the gym. Well now you don’t have to! Just remember, ALWAYS feel confident in your skin no matter what size or shape you are, this post is to boost confidence in the way you look and make you feel good about yourself!
1. Posture – This might be pretty basic but standing up straight will make you look more confident, taller and slimmer! Slouching could affect you later on in life with back and neck pains so it's better to look good now and feel good later!
2. Make sure your clothing is the right size. It's okay to own a few baggy jumpers and sweat pants but make sure the majority of your clothes are fitted and flattering!
3. Wear the right underwear for your body shape and size. Make sure you don't have 'back fat' when trying bras on and also make sure they're comfortable. You could also try slimming underwear.
4. Heels! Heels make you look taller, slimmer and make your legs look amazing!
5. Show off the best part of you. For example, if you're pear shaped then cover up your legs and wear a sleeveless top so your showing off your arms and waist! Or if your legs are nice wear shorts or a skirt and wear a jacket to cover your arms.

Dealing with shyness
There are a lot of youtube videos and blog posts and wiki answers about how to deal with being awkward and shy, but as someone who is shy and awkward myself, I often felt like whoever was talking about it didn't understand, or that their advice didn't really help me.
The first and most important bit of info/advice I can give you is that YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY AWKWARD PERSON! There and loads of people who are just as shy as you - I know that it can often feel like you're not normal, when everyone else finds it so easy to do even the little things like putting their hand up in class, and still to this day I find it basically impossible to do that, but trust me, you are.
Another important thing is to surround yourself with your friends whenever you can. Personally, I feel so much more confident around my friends, even if there still is people who you don't know there too. Having a bit of back up can make all the difference - also, they can introduce you to new people which makes it less awkward than you having to introduce yourself. Gradually, you may feel yourself feeling more comfortable around these people. This also works with people who you sit next to in lessons, as you are often forced to talk for pair work - remember, it's the same as everything: the more you do it, the easier it is. Seriously though, I'm not lying.
Also, never let anyone make you feel inferior just because you're a bit more quiet than them. Just because someone has a bit more confidence than you doesn't mean that you are more stupid than them, or that they are better than you. If you have good friends, hopefully they will stick up for you, but it is also important to stand up for yourself. Don't let people work all over you, as it's harder to stop after the first time!
So there are some quick tips, hope you find them helpful! :)

10 Ways Of Getting Rid Of Fake Tanning Mishaps
The weather has finally started to warm up a bit in England, however I am still as white as a sheet! Fake tanning is one option to combat this, so here are some tips to get a beautiful summer glow:
1. Mix the fake tan with an unscented body moisturizer. This makes the tan less streaky and a little less orange! Or you could get St Tropez to do this for you with it's Gradual Tan Everyday Body which comes in Light/Medium or Medium/Dark. I have this product and it's amazing but you must make sure you exfoliate first! That brings us on to the next tip...
2. Exfoliate! Before applying you need to exfoliate otherwise the tan gathers in certain areas. These areas are usually knees, hands, elbows and feet so make sure you especially exfoliate those places.
3. Apply body lotion to the same areas where the tan may gather (knees, hands, elbows and feet).
4. If you make any mistakes use lemon juice. For example, if the fake tan did in fact gather at the knees you could put some lemon juice on a flannel and try to scrub some of it off. You must cover any cuts whilst doing this because if any lemon juice gets in them it could be painful!
5. Do a test patch a few days before you are planning to fake tan. You don't want to be allergic to it and have it all over your body!
6. Use gloves or a mitt. This protects your hands from those awful orange coloured palms you get. A mitt will also make sure the fake tan goes on evenly.
7. Tanning at night is less disruptive of your normal every day routine. It might be hard to do things like getting dressed if you recently fake tanned as you want it to dry properly.
8. Avoid putting anything extra onto your body before you fake tan. Things like perfume and deodorant may interfere with the tan.
9. Buff your skin after tanning. Do this on the knees, hands, elbows and feet so you get an even glow! You could do this with a dry towel.
10. To speed up the process use a hair dryer!

Gifts for under £10 - Fathers day Edition
Fathers day is just around the corner (this Sunday to be precise) so I thought I would do an impromptu post giving you some ideas of what you could get him at the last minute/at an affordable price!
- Fill a mug (such as this from paperchase) with his favorite chocolates/sweets - you can get these at poundland. To make this more special you could try and find a father day themed mug!
- Get a photograph frame (such as this one from m&s), and either just put a picture in it of you both/your whole family, or, depending on how much time you have, you could create a collage of all your favorite images.
- Shower gels from places like boots are normally quite cheap (this one smells really good too!) but if wrapped up nicely could appear more expensive - but them in a box filled with newspaper/tissue paper. You could also get something from the 'dirty' line from lush, which is meant for men so definitely wont smell 'feminine'.
- Linking to the other photograph idea, if you have more time you could create a scrapbook (this is good if you want a simple one) full of memories you have together if you really want to show how much time and effort you put into presents - this is VERY time consuming though, so be prepared!
- If you just want something simple, this wallet is affordable but still classic, and is something every dad will use.
There are my top 5 ideas - there are many more, but just remember that it doesn't matter what you get your dad on Fathers Day; he'll love it anyway... sometimes the best present is a homemade card and spending time with him (ew how cheesy I know)!

How to buy clothes on a budget
When you have less money to spend on clothes it can be hard to build up a good wardrobe that you feel comfortable in. So, below are my top tips for building an affordable but amazing wardrobe!
- Make sure you have the basics in your wardrobe before you buy any pieces that could be hard to wear. Basics are normally fairly cheap if you get them from somewhere like H&M, and most importantly the go with everything!
- Try and buy things that all go together. For example, you could stick to one colour pallet, like pastels. If everything goes together you will find yourself needing less clothes as you can create so many looks with the ones you have.
- Only invest in a few pieces that you really love and will want to wear lots and feel great in, instead of investing in things you'll regret buying because you only wear it once! Make sure you defiantly want something before you splurge on it - otherwise you'll regret it later.
- Look for cheaper alternatives if you see something you really want before buying it if it's really expensive! For example, if you see a dress in Topshop for £45, check in places like Ark, H&M and Forever 21 before you buy.
- Always look in the sale section! There could be something really pretty in there, it will just take a bit longer to find it.
Those are my top 5 tips for getting a wardrobe full of clothes that you love on a budget!

Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara
I happened to pick up this mascara a few weeks ago, as there was a deal on and my previous mascara had ran out, so I decided to try it out - and ended up loving it!
As the name suggests, it is very lengthening, and makes your eyelashes very fluttery and flirty. It does not clump the lashes, but once it has dried you cannot apply more, as it has quite a dry formula and this will cause clumps to form. However, I have found you can apply quite a few coats of it without your lashes sticking together. You can also just apply one coat, which gives slightly more natural look. The colour is very dark and black, and will stay this way for a long time, and does not smudge on me. I did not get the waterproof formula, but if you have problems with mascara smudging then I would recommend you do.
Overall, this is a great mascara for lengthening, but it is not that volumizing, so if that is what you are looking for this might not be for you, but I love it!
Here's a link to it: http://www.boots.com/en/Maybelline-Illegal-Length-Fibre-Extensions-Mascara_1253926/

Tips For Lena's Style From Beautiful Creatures!
When I saw beautiful creatures, I loved Lena’s mysterious
slightly gothic style! If you want to recreate it here are a few things I
noticed about her style:
-She always wears a necklace in the film, and in the book
she wears a necklace full of random charms that mean a lot to her. You could
recreate this by finding a few necklaces that you really like or by creating
your own, with loads of charms that represent you.
-The colour scheme of her wardrobe is a mix between dark
colours and a few light pieces. In each outfit she always has a mix of light
and dark – maybe showing her character in the film? In one scene she was
wearing a black maxi dress/skirt with a white mesh jumper so her wardrobe
contrasts quite a lot. To do this you could make sure you have a balance of
light and dark items in your wardrobe.
-Her outfits are ‘flowy’. All the materials her clothes are
made out of are never too fitted they always flow yet still have a nice shape
to them. Make sure when you buy your clothes they fit well but are not tight.
-She layers up her clothes, using jackets, jumpers (like the
mesh one mentioned before) and other things. This makes your outfit more
interesting if you mix different styles and patterns. You could do this in the
same way with loose fitting jumpers and oversized jackets.
Personally, I love Lena's style and she manages to keep everything looking casual yet dressed up at the same time!

Gifts for under £10 - Gift Box
An affordable and cute gift which will work for any of your friends is a 'gift box'. You can customise it, and you can spend as much or as little time on it as you want, and make it whatever size you want.
1. Get a box (this is pretty obvious but oh well) that is the size/shape you want. You could get a plain one (http://www.paperchase.co.uk/invt/00470841/) to customise, or one that is already covered/decorated (http://www.paperchase.co.uk/invt/00508520/). I particularily like shaped ones (http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/paper-mache-heart-box-with-lid/571817-1000) as it makes the gift different and looks really pretty on display.
2. Decorate the box. You could do this in many ways, such as with paint, or with pictures of you and your chum that you are giving the gift, in a collage-style with patterned paper (paperchase is good for this). Ripping the paper gives it a vintage style. You can basically decorate the box however you want, but if you do rip the paper, make sure the edges are stuck down properly or you have used clear PVA on top, so that the edges don't peal. Skip this step if you bought a patterned box. You could even add some shredded tissue paper inside!
3. Add small things to the box. By this I mean sweets or handmade bracelets or cookies - things that won't cost a lot. Buy a big bag of sweets such as starbursts that are individually wrapped and empty them into the box. This will act as your 'filler' and make it look like there is more in the box. Bracelets & cookies are also good as it will show your friend that you spent time on their gift.
4. Add a few larger items. Bath bombs from lush (https://www.lush.co.uk/product/445/Twilight-Bath-Bomb) work really well, as they all smell amazing, and most people like them. They also have the added bonus of being quite inexpensive. You could also use things such as mittens/gloves in the winter, or buy them some jewelery instead of making it. Make-up is great, especially if you know that there is something that you know they want, but stay away from foundation, as you could get the wrong colour. Joke presents are always good to put in gift boxes (http://www.hawkin.com/fairy-poly-glider), but make sure there are some good things as well!
Overall, this present is great if you're running out of ideas - if you don't want to use a box you could get a small bag from somewhere like Primark and put the gifts in that!
